A Journey Within: Spiritual Enrichment Session for Students | SSVM
On 7th February 2026, SSVM Institutions, Mettupalayam, organized a spiritually enriching and reflective session for around 50 students from 1:40 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session, led by Dr. Shantha Maria James, provided students with a valuable opportunity to step away from their routine academic lives and engage in mindful meditation, journaling, and self-reflection.
The program guided participants on a calming spiritual journey, encouraging them to temporarily detach from the materialistic world and focus on self-awareness and emotional balance. Through gentle meditation techniques and guided reflection, Dr. Shantha Maria James created an atmosphere of serenity and mindfulness.
A key component of the session was journaling, which allowed students to express their thoughts freely and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. The journaling activity helped participants reflect on their emotions, personal experiences, and inner challenges. Writing down their thoughts enabled students to read, recognize, and understand their feelings more clearly, fostering self-discovery and emotional clarity. Many students found this exercise to be meaningful and therapeutic, as it encouraged honest introspection and inner awareness.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the session was the personal interaction provided to each student.
