Preparedness, Prudence & Protection: Safety First

Safety First at SSVM Safety at SSVM Mettupalayam is not merely a protocol; it is a culture we cherish and a responsibility we uphold. Students of Grades 2 – 5 participated in comprehensive Earthquake and Transport Evacuation Drills designed to strengthen awareness, preparedness, and emergency response skills.
Students practised the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” protocol, evacuated safely to designated assembly points, and completed headcounts under the guidance of teachers. The Transport Evacuation Drill further familiarised students with the first-aid facilities, emergency equipment, safety features, and evacuation procedures available on school buses.
Beyond drills and demonstrations, the exercises reinforced a vital life skill, the ability to respond with composure, clarity, and confidence when it matters most. At SSVM, preparedness is empowerment, and every safety initiative reflects our commitment to safeguarding the well-being of our students while ensuring resilience, responsibility, and readiness for life.
